For camo grinders and Weekly Challenge completionists, jumping into Objective Modes to secure Objective Kills will be a top priority, but how exactly can you get them? That and more in this quick guide.
When is Ranked Play Coming to COD Black Ops 7?
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 players jumping in following the holidays may be wondering where Ranked Play is. Fret not, for here is its release date.
How to Get Objective Kills in COD Black Ops 7
To get Objective Kills in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, you will need to eliminate opponents while playing the objective. Objective Kills are granted when you eliminate an opponent while you are on and holding an objective, or by eliminating an opponent who is on and holding or capturing an objective.
Objective Kills often count for 125 Score as opposed to the regular 100, giving players the ability to rack up extra progress toward securing their scorestreaks. Objective Kills are also required for challenges, notably Special Camo challenges for certain weapons. They are also needed for limited-time events and Weekly Challenges, which task players with getting 30 Objective Kills in Objective Modes.
What are the Best Modes For Objective Kills in COD Black Ops 7?
Currently, the most effective mode for securing Objective Kills is Hardpoint. Since there is only one objective point in Hardpoint, more players are focused on a single area, making it much easier to secure consistent Objective Kills. All you need to do to farm Objective Kills in Hardpoint is kill players while you or they are on the Hardpoint.
However, Hardpoint is not the only mode you can try, as Domination also allows players to earn Objective Kills. In Domination, Objective Kills can only be secured if you get a kill while you or the enemy is capturing a point. Standing on a captured objective and killing enemies outside of it will not count as Objective Kills.
Either mode works well, especially considering both are respawn game modes. Objective Kills can also be secured in both modes in Core and Hardcore, giving players a little more freedom in how they earn them.
As of the time of writing, the Get 30 Objective Kills in Objective Modes Challenge for Week 4 of Season 1 is not tracking. Simply complete another challenge in either Warzone, Zombies, or the Co-Op Campaign to earn the Week 4 Reward until Treyarch rolls out a fix.
