According to the latest reports, a new Hunter x Hunter game is in the works. The game is called Hunter x Hunter Nen x Survivor, and Bushiroad Games is publishing it. Fans interested in the game will be delighted to know that Hunter x Hunter Nen x Survivor is releasing on February 17th, 2026.
Pre-registrations are open, and developers will give away rewards after hitting a certain number. Here’s how the game is described on the store:

Hunter x Hunter Manga Might Come Back In 2026
Aside from getting a new game, Hunter x Hunter fans might get to read a few new chapters in 2026. Yoshihiro Togashi shared a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account in which he confirmed that the manuscript for Chapter 411 has been completed. Unfortunately, Togashi didn’t share any update regarding the return of the Hunter x Hunter manga. But there’s a good chance that Hunter x Hunter will return with at least a couple of chapters in 2026.
Hunter x Hunter Needs A New Anime
Hunter x Hunter fans have been frustrated by the lack of decent content. There hasn’t been a new chapter since December 2014, and no new anime project has been announced either. Fans understand that Togashi’s physical health is not good, which is why he cannot work like he used to. But they want to know why an anime hasn’t been announced.
There are around 70 chapters that haven’t been covered by the 2011 anime, so in theory, there is enough content for a studio to churn out at least two short seasons. However, the people involved may be deterred from pursuing the project, as the anime would get too close to the manga.
