Since then, there have been a lot of mixed rumors about the new season, some even suggesting that the anime has been canceled.

While there might not be much news about Solo Leveling Season 3, two new projects related to the franchise have already been revealed. The feeling is that the developer has released a game just to extort money from fans.
Solo Leveling Live Action Series Has Been Confirmed By Netflix
The second project is the live-action Solo Leveling series, which will air exclusively on Netflix. So far, it has been confirmed that Byeon Woo-seok will play the role of Sung Jinwoo in the series. Byeon Woo-seok has been involved in projects like 20th Century Girl and Lovely Runner, both of which have been globally lauded.
The upcoming live-action series adaptation promises to feature vivid characters, dynamic action sequences, and exhilarating quests, brought to life by a world-class global VFX team. The series will also introduce viewers to fantastical dungeons and uniquely powerful monsters, setting a new standard for live-action adaptations.
Aside from the lead, it has been confirmed that Lee Hae-jun and Kim Byung-seo will co-direct the series. Additionally, Sanai Pictures is set to produce the project. Based on the information available, it seems that Solo Leveling’s live-action series will be a hit. Presently, there is no release date for the series, but one should be disclosed in the coming months.
Considering two new projects linked to Solo Leveling have been revealed, it’s safe to say that the franchise’s popularity is at an all-time high. So, one thing is for sure—the third season of Solo Leveling won’t be canceled. There will be another season, but it will likely take longer to be announced.
Solo Leveling Season 3 Will Be Announced In 2026

They want to know when they can expect to see Sung Jinwoo back in action. At the time of writing, there haven’t been any official statements from A-1 Pictures or Crunchyroll.

It’s possible that the studio doesn’t want to make an announcement until after the production has begun. Currently, A-1 Pictures is working on Too Many Losing Heroines!, Eisen Flügel, and Fate/strange Fake. So, the studio is certainly busy with other projects, and maybe it doesn’t have enough staff members to work on Solo Leveling. However, there is a good chance that this will change in 2026. A-1 Pictures will want to capitalize on Solo Leveling’s popularity, and it can only be done by releasing another season. Nobody wants the studio to wait until 2027.
Solo Leveling Might Release A Movie Instead
There is also the possibility that A-1 Pictures might be contemplating releasing a movie instead of the third season, especially after the success of the Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie, which shattered all kinds of records. So, the studio might be tempted to shake things up and release a movie to cover the next few arcs of Solo Leveling. Given Demon Slayer’s success, A-1 Pictures might actually take a leap of faith. However, the studio needs to remember that Demon Slayer is a lot more popular than Solo Leveling.
