SINGAPORE – A 24-year-old motorist and a 35-year-old motorcyclist were taken to hospital after being involved in a chain collision that led to a car turning turtle on the BKE.
The Oct 10 accident, which involved two motorcycles and two cars, resulted in a traffic snarl during the morning peak hour.
The police said they were alerted at 6.50am to the accident on the BKE, towards the PIE.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said the two men were taken to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital. Another person was assessed for minor injuries and declined to be taken to the hospital.
In a video uploaded on the Singapore road accident.com Facebook page, a black car can be seen flipped over on the rightmost lane of the highway. A motorcycle on its side is visible a few metres ahead.
LTA Traffic News, in a post at 6.55am on social media platform X, said the accident occurred on the BKE after Dairy Farm Road. At 8.47am, another post by LTA Traffic News said congestion had spilt onto the SLE.
