This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo continues to involve the previous generation of sorcerers in the current world, 68 years later. Since the story began, fans have been incredibly curious to know what exactly happened to their beloved characters from the past.
68 Years After Gojo’s Fall, Gege Akutami Confirms The New Strongest Sorcerer In Jujutsu Kaisen
Gojo was Japan’s strongest sorcerer, but that isn’t the case anymore. Japan has a new number 1 in JJK Modulo.
While both Yuji Itadori and Nobara have been confirmed to be alive currently, the best and most popular character in the franchise, that is, Megumi Fushiguro, might well be dead. His death was heavily implied in JJK Modulo chapter 13, and it has surprised quite a few fans.
Megumi Fushiguro’s Death Is Strongly Hinted In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo
In JJK Modulo chapter 13, a death match was set between the alien race and the humans. The winner would officially get control over Tokyo, which is where the cursed spirits are contained. If the aliens manage to win this death battle, then they will establish their own country in Tokyo, and take care of the cursed spirits themselves. If the sorcerers win, then of course, they will continue with their yearly exorcisms in Tokyo.
The last time I saw him was at Hana’s funeral. He said he wouldn’t be going to any more funerals. He may look like a muscle head but he’s too sensitive, you know. He just can’t bear to see anyone else off. It was getting a bit too rough on me too. After all, he can’t age, you know? — Nobara Kugisaki on Yuji Itadori, JJK Modulo Chapter 13
The sorcerers wanted Yuji to stand in this battle, but he is nowhere to be found. As Nobara was consulted about his whereabouts, she clearly said that Yuji was sick of all the people around him dying one by one. This means Yuji has already lost some beloved individuals, and that one of these losses was so deep that he actually cut himself off from society itself. Clearly, the closest bond that Yuji had in the story was none other than Megumi, and if he died, it explains why Yuji is now in isolation.
Hana Kurusu Died Most Recently In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo
It has also been confirmed that Hana recently died. As fans know, Hana and Megumi were always together, and Gege even set them up as a major ship at the end of the story. The fact that Nobara called Hana by her first name means that she was actually very close to her towards the end. It could also have been done to hide the fact that Hana took the last name of Fushiguro. After Hana’s death, Yuji officially cut contact with all his friends as they were dying one by one and he was suffering in pain.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Has Already Set Up The Death Of The Protagonist
JJK’s protagonist is going to die, and fans are heartbroken.
Megumi Is Likely Already Dead In JJK Modulo
In JJK Modulo chapter 13, the fact that Megumi was not consulted when the search for Yuji was going on confirms that he is actually not around. Nobara is still pressing on, while Yuji simply cannot age. Megumi and Hana seem to have both died, just like Yuta and Maki.
Any word on where Yuji Itadori is? It seems we haven’t had any luck when it comes to locating him. This is big trouble. — Japan Sorcerer Elites On Finding Yuji Itadori
No matter which way fans look at it, the evidence is right in their faces. It is Megumi’s death that depressed Yuji, given that they were best friends and soulmates.
Eventually, however, Yuji will be able to pass on to the other world. This is because he will most likely die at the hands of Dabura, which will allow him to fulfill his grandfather’s wish and finally rest in peace.
