Global MNCs, some Singapore firms eye Batam for cost savings and talent pool

Batam’s economy is booming, with Singapore firms driving much of the growth. Investors at business parks with a strong Singapore presence say the island offers major cost savings, especially for manufacturing. And with regional integration back on the agenda, one expert says Batam could be particularly attractive for certain sectors. Claudia Lim with more.
