With December on the horizon, Niantic has revealed its plans for Pokemon GO during the month, with special events, raids, Community Day, and more. The popular mobile game has plenty of content and things to do for Pokemon GO players during December 2025, with the studio providing an overview of all expected events.
December will be a good opportunity for players to catch up on things, whether that be Pokemon they may have missed earlier in the year, or even another chance at one of the rarest items in the game. Niantic is making Pokemon GO‘s Master Ball available again, though unlike the first time, players will need to purchase a special Masterwork Research task to unlock it. Still, for those who don’t want to shell out any real money, Pokemon GO has plenty of events and content coming in December for free.

Pokemon GO players point out an ongoing problem with the way that Raid Battles work for solo trainers in hopes of the devs making a change.
Pokemon GO December 2025 Content and Events
Giving players a heads-up prior to the start of December, Niantic has provided a handy overview of all its planned events and content updates. During Pokemon GO‘s Journey to Paldea event on December 2, players can get their hands on Nacli, and its evolutionary line of Naclstack and Garganacl for the first time. During the event, players can earn double XP for winning raids and evolving Pokemon, while a Shiny Larvitar and Shiny Bagon have an increased chance of appearing.
During Precious Paths season, Max Battles will change each week in December, with Darumaka appearing first, then followed by Cryogonal, Kabuto, Spheal, and then Omanyte to end the month. Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom will also be added to 5-Star Raids throughout the month as well. Heatran will be featured in Shadow Raids, while Mega Gyarados, Mega Abomasnow, anmd Mega Glalie will all be added as Mega Raid Bosses.
Earlier this month, Niantic confirmed its Pokemon GO Community Day details for December 2025, and as the company has done in years past, fans will be able to catch up on previous events they may have missed. Over two days, from December 6–7, players will find all previous Community Day spotlight Pokemon from 2 PM to 5PM local time.
