The Battlefield 6 Season 1 trial has officially kicked off, making a decent portion of the year’s biggest game free to play for a limited time. The first-ever Battlefield 6 free trial period is set to run until early December 2025.
Released on October 10, Battlefield 6 is currently the best-selling game of 2025 in the United States. With its biggest rival, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, reportedly debuting to weaker numbers than its immediate predecessor, there is a realistic chance that the DICE-developed first-person shooter will retain its commercial crown by year’s end.

Battlefield 6 Season 1 Free Trial Now Live Across All Platforms
A month and a half following its launch, Battlefield 6 is now free to play for a limited time, courtesy of its Season 1 trial offer that materialized on November 25, at 4am PT. The promotion is live across the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It can be accessed by downloading the free battle royale game Battlefield RedSec, which has been temporarily expanded with multiple Battlefield 6 playlists and maps. The trial will run until 4am PT on December 2.
What’s Included in Battlefield 6 Season 1 Free Trial
The promotional offer includes access to several multiplayer playlists: Close Quarters Battle, Initiation Breakthrough, and All-Out Warfare. They span a handful of modes, including Breakthrough, Conquest, Team Deathmatch, and the limited-time, two-round Sabotage. Three maps are part of the trial: Siege of Cairo, available since launch, and the recently added Eastwood and Blackwell Fields. All progress from the Battlefield 6 Season 1 free trial carries over to the full game. Likewise, anyone who has already played RedSec will see their Levels, Career Rank, Hardware Unlocks, and cosmetics carry over to the trial itself.
