Xbox Game Pass Adds Its 10th Day-One Game for November 2025, and More

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is now available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while two other 2025 games have joined the Premium tier of the service. This is the tenth day-one title to reach Microsoft’s content catalog in November, 13th overall new addition for the month, and the 202nd Xbox Game Pass release since the beginning of the year.

Developed by Digital Sun, the first Moonlighter game is an action RPG that launched in May 2018 to largely favorable reviews, as underlined by its average score of 82 and 78% recommendation rate on OpenCritic. By June 2022, it surpassed 2 million sales, publisher 11 Bit Studios said at the time. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault aims to offer a somewhat different experience by focusing on the original’s roguelite elements. It will still deliver a combination of shopkeeping and dungeon crawling, but with deeper town progression systems and a stronger focus on randomized, replayable dungeon runs.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault Joins Xbox Game Pass Ultimate

Following a month-long delay, the Game Preview version of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault was added to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate earlier today, November 19. As is common with early access titles, this release is currently limited to PC. An Xbox Series X/S version of the game has already been confirmed, and is expected to launch after the roguelite reaches its 1.0 build, currently projected for 2026. Because Microsoft’s Xbox Cloud Gaming infrastructure runs on custom Series X hardware, 2026 is also when Moonlighter 2 is expected to become streamable via the service.

Moonlighter 2 Likely Coming to Xbox Game Pass Premium in 2026

Since Microsoft introduced an Xbox Game Pass tier without day-one releases in September 2024—initially called Standard and rebranded as Premium in October 2025—it has generally added games that originally launched as day-one titles to that tier after roughly six to twelve months. Based on that pattern, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault would be expected to reach Xbox Game Pass Premium sometime between May and November 2026.

The November 18 catalog update has also introduced two new titles to the Premium tier of the Xbox subscription service: cozy 2D adventure Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo and co-op sci-fi action adventure Revenge of the Savage Planet. Both have been available on the PC and Ultimate tiers for about six months as of today; Revenge of the Savage Planet was originally added to Xbox Game Pass on May 8, whereas Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo arrived eight days later.

Today’s triple catalog update officially kicks off the second wave of the Xbox Game Pass November 2025 lineup. The next pair of additions is scheduled for November 20, when The Crew Motorfest and Monsters are Coming! Rock & Road will reach the PC and Ultimate tiers. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden and Kill It With Fire 2 are then set to arrive five days later. One notable detail from the Wave 2 roster for November is Microsoft’s introduction of a “Handheld” designation in its Xbox Game Pass lineup announcements, used to label titles specifically optimized for devices like the recently launched ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X.
