A man emailed the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) nine times in October about unattended parcels in Jurong West void decks and finally got a reply.
Stomper TN first wrote to the Housing Board about the issue on July 30 with the subject title: “Unattended goods or items everywhere HDB blocks”.
HDB replied on Aug 11 that as the common property of the HDB estate was managed and maintained by the town council, the Stomper’s feedback will be shared with the town council.
Dissatisfied with the response, the Stomper forwarded HDB’s reply to various media outlets as well as the People’s Action Party, Workers’ Party and Singapore Democratic Party, and accused HDB of “playing taichi”.
On Oct 7, the Stomper sent photos and a video of parcels in the void deck to the same recipients and added PMO to the mailing list.
The email read: “Can anyone help to get the responsible and competent authority to step up SGSecure within public housing, look into these concerning suspicious items left in a few HDB blocks and prevent the recurrence?”
He listed Blocks 654A, 654B and 655A at Jurong West Street 61.
The Stomper continued to send out emails with photos and videos on Oct 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 18, 28 and 31.
