For those who need an introduction, Bug was one of Boro’s subordinates lurking in his secret laboratory, where Eida and Daemon were preserved. He knows so much about Eida and Daemon, especially their unique abilities, yet much about his own powers and intentions remains shrouded in mystery until he is consumed by a Claw Grime and later emerges as Mamushi of the God Trees.

Now referred to as Mamushi, Bug’s Shinju Clone has grown more relevant in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga. Interestingly, he is still largely connected to Eida and Daemon, but the situation has drastically changed. Before, Bug had no chance at winning against these powerful cyborgs in a fight, but recent developments have given Mamushi a new overpowering jutsu that turned him into a serious opponent.

With Bug’s Division, the upcoming fight in Konoha promises to be chaotic and intense, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if someone, possibly Eida or Daemon, goes down.

Perhaps the most popular replication jutsu in both Naruto and Boruto is the Shadow Clone Jutsu, a versatile technique that allows the user to create multiple copies of themselves to overwhelm opponents and execute countless attack patterns. Now, the Shadow Clone Jutsu is being compared to Bug’s Division ability, as both techniques focus on replication, but Division takes it a step further.

Unlike the Shadow Clone Jutsu, Division allows Bug to create fully powered replicates of himself in unlimited numbers. The replica, or clone, is essentially the real Bug, as there is no division of chakra, power, or strength. Once the fight happens, these clones can attack simultaneously from different angles, making it feel as if they’re fighting not just one Shinju Clone, but an army as formidable as multiple God Trees.

However, such dangerous techniques still have weaknesses that Boruto and the others could still exploit. As revealed by Kashin Koji, the more clones Bug creates, the more his intelligence diminishes. Additionally, his pain perception dulls, and his actions become simpler and increasingly predictable. Destroying a clone’s eyes also signifies its defeat, giving Boruto and the others a clear strategy to counter Bug’s Division ability.

Without Kashin Koji’s Prescience, it would be more difficult for Boruto Uzumaki and the others in Konoha to devise a strategy against Bug’s Division Jutsu, potentially leaving them more vulnerable to being overwhelmed by his limitless clones. Of course, countering Bug’s jutsu is easier said than done, considering they must limit the Shinju’s clones to 20 to 30 bodies before disposing of them all in a single coordinated attack, requiring precise timing and flawless teamwork. In addition, Boruto might not participate in the upcoming fight because of Jura, leaving the rest to Shikamaru and the others to handle Bug. In exchange, Inojin is getting a new power-up, which, according to Koji, could be a game-changing ability in eliminating Bug for real.
