SINGAPORE – A 51-year-old Australian woman has been arrested for her suspected involvement in a case of shop theft in Changi Airport, said the police on Nov 11.
The police were alerted on May 7 at about 2.45pm to a case of shop theft after a box of supplements, valued at $507.30, was found to be missing from the display shelf of a Guardian outlet in the transit area of Changi Airport Terminal 1.
With the aid of images from CCTV cameras, the police established the identity of the woman, who was seen allegedly leaving the outlet with the unpaid item on April 14, but she had already departed from Singapore.
On Nov 2, the woman returned to Singapore and was arrested while in transit for another flight at Changi Airport.
