A woman has defended her decision to remain seated in a priority seat on an MRT train, saying she was recovering from an ankle injury after a fall that had left her unconscious for several hours.
TikTok user @beefjerkybj shared an eight-second video on Nov 7, showing her seated with the caption: “When the auntie wants me to get up from my priority seat. So I assert dominance by showing my ankle tag bruise.”
The clip, which has drawn more than 630,000 views at press time, shows a bruise on her right ankle. In a follow-up video, she claimed that she had fallen and injured herself, losing consciousness in the train for about three hours.
