Natural wine has had quite the journey across the culinary scene. After experiencing a boom a few years ago, and then swiftly being declared passé by trend watchers, the natural wine movement has settled into something more grounded. Despite the chatter, a handful of bars across Singapore are still happily pouring the good stuff—cloudy pet-nats, skin-contact gems, and juicy glou-glou reds—with zero concern for whether it’s in or out.

In this roundup, GRAZIA Singapore spotlights five spots that capture what makes the natural wine scene so compelling. Ranging from dedicated wine bars to Thai grills and Australian eateries, they share more than a love for low-intervention bottles; they have an easy insouciance, and a knack for making wine feel unpretentious and fun. Whether you’re a longtime convert or a skin-contact newbie, these spots prove that natural wine, like good conversation, never really goes out of style.

Located on Club Street with a second outpost in Holland Village, Le Bon Funk is a dedicated wine bar spearheaded by chef-owner Keirin Buck (formerly of Burnt Ends) and beverage director Jos Kjer. The bar focuses on small-batch natural wines and produce-led plates. Whether you’re just dropping by for a glass or settling in with friends for a full sharing-menu night, Le Bon Funk delivers natural wine with a wink, in just the right kind of neighbourhood bar setting.

Le Bon Funk has branches at 29 Club Street, Singapore 069414, and 277 Holland Avenue, Singapore 278994.

Club Street Laundry

Club Street Laundry is housed in the shell of Hup San laundry, an immigrant-founded business dating back to the 1930s. The new owners of the modern Australian eatery aim to channel that same “immigrant spirit of resilience, reinvention, and reckless optimism”—a mission which they achieve in their eclectic menu and curated wine list. Their natural offerings are quietly unexpected, ranging from an elderflower rose pet-nat to Slovenian and Georgian orange wines. The basement speakeasy, overseen by star bartender June Baek, is also worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Club Street Laundry is located at 98 Club Street, #01-01, Singapore 069467.
