An Instagram post of the incident, which reportedly took place on October 28 at 7.19pm, was uploaded on Nov 1.
Captioned “Only in SG: you go jalan jalan, end up watching live couple quarrel”, the clip had 174,000 views, 1,414 reactions and 78 comments at press time.
‘You are making a scene’
At the start of the 17-second clip, the man is heard repeatedly saying: “I understand”.
The spat then escalates physically when the man tells the woman: “You are making a scene, we are in public.” In response, she swings her handbag at him again and again while echoing his words.
