A man was sentenced to two weeks’ jail after he forcefully dragged a woman into the lift of a HDB block and tried to stop her from leaving.
Malaysian national Wang Qingxiang (transliteration), 24, pleaded guilty in court on Oct 29 to a charge of attempting to wrongfully confine a person, reported Shin Min Daily News.
The incident occurred at a HDB block in Ubi on the evening of Sept 21.
Court documents reportedly state that Wang had met the victim near Ubi MRT station to introduce a job opportunity.
The pair discussed this opportunity as they walked to Wang’s block.
