A woman in Singapore was left frightened after her Grab ride from Circuit Road to Yishun allegedly turned into an hour-long journey, with the 75-year-old driver taking her towards Yio Chu Kang and Mandai instead.
The passenger claimed the driver repeatedly told her that roads were closed and even suggested she spend the night at a friend’s place.
Things became more unsettling when he allegedly tried to drop her off at a dark, quiet bus stop and told her she had to pay extra if she wanted him to continue taking her home.
