Kinkaku-ji Temple is one of the many landmarks and photography locations in Forza Horizon 6.

Just like the real Kinkaku-ji Temple in Kyoto, Japan, the in-game version is covered in gold leaf and makes for a prime location to take pictures. The only problem is that Kinkaku-ji Temple is one of the hardest landmarks to find, as it’s essentially in the middle of nowhere in Forza Horizon 6.

Kinkaku-ji Temple is also featured as a location for photo challenges in the Festival Playlist, like the #TakingYourTime photo challenge in the spring of the Horizon Meets series.

Here’s where to find Kinkaku-ji Temple in Forza Horizon 6.

Kinkaku-ji Temple is located beside a small lake that is just south of the middle of the Ohtani region. To get to the lake, drive northwest on the off-road trail on the south side of Ohtani, and you’ll find the lake at the northwesternmost point on the trail.

If you’re looking to complete the #TakingYourTime photo challenge, make sure to take a photo of a 1989 Nissan S-Cargo with the temple visible in the background. The S-Cargo is available in the Autoshow for 19,000 credits, so you can get your hands on one fairly easily. As a reward, you’ll earn the “So Cute” emote and two season points.
