Has any game ever been as hotly anticipated as Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 6? We sincerely doubt it. Fans have analyzed every name rumored to be attached to GTA 6, and calls for more gameplay and content are at an all-time high on social media like Reddit and X, despite the massive amount of leaks that have already shown big portions of the game.
With less than a month until GTA 6 launches, Rockstar has decided to give gamers a new exclusive clip, revealed during the latest South Park — or rather, South America — episode on Comedy Central.
A solid exclusive GTA 6 gameplay clip from South Park
In the episode “Beef Battle,” which aired on Oct. 28, a woman stands off to one side and plays a GTA 6 clip on a TV. We see a German Shepherd defecate, then walk off, leaving its owner to pick up the dog poop. Co-protagonists Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval walk behind the dog and its owner.
“You can throw things at the person with dog poop,” the woman explains, as the clip shows Jason doing just that. The owner drops the dog feces he’s carrying, allowing Jason to pick up the mess and then attack the owner with it.
You may think this clip sounds like a perfect South Park spoof made up by the show’s creators, but the episode’s end credits confirm the footage is real, and Rockstar provided it.
The clip is plenty ludicrous, though anyone familiar with the franchise won’t be surprised. It does, however, show just how much thought and detail Rockstar has put into its latest game, which is already shaping up to be one hell of an ambitious title.
We doubt picking up poop will be the only silly detail GTA 6 has. Previous Rockstar games like Red Dead Redemption 2 had horse testicle physics, after all. Given that GTA 6‘s world promises to be the densest and most detailed to ever appear in a game, picking up and throwing dog poop doesn’t seem so implausible. It will probably get less attention than other details like mud physics and NPC dialogue systems, of course.
Still, the reveal of dog poop gameplay probably wasn’t what fans had in mind when asking for more gameplay clips from the developers.
