Modern Warfare 4 has fully released, and there are plenty of new guns and attachments to unlock for this new year of Call of Duty. In this guide, we’ll suggest some recommended weapon builds, so you can see exactly which guns and attachments you’ll want to focus on unlocking and leveling up early.
Call of Duty’s Gunsmith feature returns in Modern Warfare 4. This customization system lets you create five-attachment builds for multiplayer. In addition to the standard five attachments, you can also include the gun’s unique Apex attachment.
Apex attachments are special add-ons you can unlock for each gun, which will drastically change how the weapon is used. Apex attachments are similar to the weapon conversion kits found in the recent Call of Duty games, but in Modern Warfare 4 they don’t cost one of your attachment slots.
Apex attachments aren’t unlocked until you’ve reached the maximum weapon level for a specific gun. Some of these attachments are a bit wacky and aren’t practical add-ons, but others will offer viable bonuses to your weapon.
