A 33-year-old man was arrested for suspected drug-related offences and driving under the influence of drugs, after the car he was driving skidded and crashed into a lamp post outside a police base near Geylang.
The incident happened at about 3.15pm on Tuesday (Oct 20), on Guillemard Road towards Nicoll Highway, near the Police Logistics Base and Found and Unclaimed Property Office.
Photographs seen by AsiaOne show a white car being placed on tow. It is seen with significant damage to its front bumper and bonnet.
Meanwhile, a lamp post along Guillemard Road is tilted to a 10- to 20-deg angle, and had to be secured to a strong point using a lashing strap.
