The man will be charged with seven offences: dangerous driving, driving without due care and attention causing hurt, driving whilst under disqualification, leaving a vehicle in a position likely to cause danger, failing to stop after an accident, failing to report the accident as well as failing to render assistance.
The offence of driving whilst under disqualification carries a fine of up to S$10,000, imprisonment of up to three years, or both. Repeat offenders are liable to a fine of up to S$20,000, a jail term of up to six years, or both.
