A Stomper feels that migrant workers should be given transport concession cards, following the recent increase in public transport fares.
Stomper Sweetie said many of these workers already face long and tiring commutes, often having to take multiple buses or trains and walk long distances between their dormitories and workplaces.
“Some domitories don’t even have bus services on weekends and public holidays,” said the Stomper, who added that these workers earn modest wages and perform “dirty, difficult and dangerous” jobs under tough conditions.
