SINGAPORE – The 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) is forecast to be between 100 and 190 – in the unhealthy band – on Oct 19, said the National Environment Agency (NEA).
Rain is forecast over Singapore and the surrounding region on Oct 19, while winds are expected to blow from the south-south-east or south, which may limit the transport of smoke haze from Kalimantan to Singapore, the agency said in its daily haze advisory on the evening of Oct 18.
However, some smoke haze from Sumatra may drift towards Singapore, NEA added.
The haze situation may also improve on Oct 20, although it could worsen overnight into Oct 21.
