Sengkang GRC MP Assoc Prof Jamus Lim has been hospitalised since the weekend due to pneumonia.
The second-term MP said in a Facebook post on Monday (Oct 12): “Some of you may have seen a video of my sniffling away in Parliament last week. As it turns out, that sniffling eventually developed into a bad case of Influenza A, before culminating in full-blown pneumonia.”
He was seen wearing a mask in Parliament on Oct 6.
Then, when speaking on the Finance (Income Taxes) Bill, he was seen pausing occasionally between sentences as he sniffled and wiped his nose.
Marine Parade-Braddell Heights MP Diana Pang later walked over and handed him a tissue.
At that time, Assoc Prof Lim told the House that he thought it could be due to the haze.
