Singapore puts AI into ship registration

Singapore is building an AI-assisted ship registration system that it says will cut standard applications from as much as three working days to a matter of minutes.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore will launch the new system in the first half of 2027, integrating the full registration process from initial submission through vetting and certificate issuance.
