If you’re looking for a hidden neighborhood gem that’s been serving up some of the most authentic wood fired pizzas for over 12 years, then you have to come to Baci Baci Ristorante Italiano. Tucked away in Serangoon Gardens, this cozy, homey restaurant is loved for its warm Italian hospitality and classic comfort food! With a gorgeous wood fired pizza oven tucked in the back corner, they’ve built a cult following for their rich 6 Formaggi & Honey Pizza ($35), but my absolute personal favorite has to be their Fig Time ($35)! It delivers that ultimate savoury hit of melted cheese and Parma ham balanced with the fruity sweetness of figs and chili jam! Beyond the pizzas, they serve up an incredible spread of traditional Italian dishes. We started with their Grilled Mediterranean Octopus ($35), which was cooked to absolute perfection, alongside a deeply comforting Italian seafood stew called Cacciucco ($33) that came packed with a incredibly generous amount of seafood in a rich broth! You also can’t skip their pasta like the Spaghetti all’Amatriciana ($32) comes tossed in a tangy slightly spicy sauce, topped with addictively fatty crispy pancetta that cuts right through the richness! For our main meats, we went with the juicy Grilled Pork Chop ($46) and their Ribeye done Tagliata Style ($54), sliced and served over roasted potatoes with a dusting of grated parmesan and a drizzle of sweet balsamic reduction. To finish the meal, you can’t go wrong with their classic, velvety homemade Tiramisu ($18), or their famous Chocolate Salami ($18) a decadent, sliceable chocolate dessert with a creamy, crunchy texture in every single bite!
