Not every video game needs an anime adaptation, but Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is one that I can see working. Its version of Sengoku-era Japan, memorable characters and sword fights already gave FromSoftware plenty to build beyond a videogame world.
The game follows Wolf, a shinobi tasked with protecting Kuro, the Divine Heir, against the backdrop of a fictionalised and considerably more supernatural interpretation of Sengoku-era Japan.
