Nothing announces new flagship Headphone (1) Pro headphones with audiophile features

After a quiet start to 2026, Nothing has suddenly announced the new Headphone (1) Pro, the brand’s newest flagship headphones. And in line with where it sits in the lineup, the Headphone (1) Pro appears adequately premium.

Not only does it get an aluminium and titanium frame, the clear areas on the earcups are protected by Panda Glass. Despite that, the headphones are slightly lighter than the Nothing Headphone (1), at 327g. Nothing says they’ve used a wider headband with increased padding to help distribute the weight better, and the switch from steel arms to titanium has helped with keeping the weight down.

Inside, the headphones are equipped with a triple-driver array, which is rare. Instead of a single dynamic driver, the Headphone (1) Pro gets two dynamic drivers for the bass and midrange, and a xMEMS driver that handles the treble.

Nothing has also shaken things up here, with Metropolis Studios tuning these headphones. While Metropolis Studios might not be as well-known as KEF, their studios have been used by artistes like Lady Gaga, Queen, U2, Adele, Rihanna and more.

It seems Nothing is looking to target the audiophiles with these headphones as well, with the inclusion of a Flat EQ switch that provides a neutral sound profile. The headphones can also be used for wired listening via the USB-C port, with support for up to 24-bit/192kHz tracks.

The collaboration with Metropolis Studios has also resulted in a custom “Studio B” Dynamic Spatial Audio mode that mimics the acoustics of a mixing room, and there are five custom EQ presets that are supposed to “boost the best of British music”.

The ANC has also been improved here, with a 10-mic system that filters out environmental noise working in tandem with a redesigned ear cushion that has an 8mm silicone baffle wall inside to get a better seal for passive noise isolation.

The headphones also get up to 68 hours of battery life (with ANC off) and an IP52 resistance rating, and comes in Black and White.
