Canadian tennis player Leylah Fernandez enjoyed an impressive run at the 2026 Singapore Open. She defeated French Open champion Mirra Andreeva and French Open finalist Maja Chwalinska en route to her first WTA title of 2026 and the sixth of her career.
Fernandez defeated Australian Talia Gibson 7-5, 6-0. It is her second WTA 500 title following her 2025 Mubadala DC Open win.

This has been an odd year at the Singapore Open. Jessica Pegula withdrew. Alexandra Eala was upset by Tatiana Prozorova, who suffered a concussion while playing doubles and was then unable to play her semifinal singles match.
