SINGAPORE CHILLI CRAB | recipe 👇🏽 🇸🇬 Happy National Day 🥳 Whenever my mom makes this I get super exciteddd * 1 kg crabs, cut and cleaned * 3-4 tbsp tomato ketchup + 1 tbsp oyster sauce * 2 cups water * salt + sugar, or to taste * cornstarch slurry * 2 eggs, beaten 🦀✨ chilli crab sauce: * 10g dried chillies, soaked and rehydrated in hot water * 1 onion * 2-3 cloves garlic * 1 inch ginger * 1/4cup water, for easier blending Add oil to pan and place over low to medium heat. Add the chilli crab paste and saute to cook down to a paste. Stir in sauces: ketchup + oyster sauce. Add crabs, stir to combine with the paste. Pour in water/stock, and simmer for 8-10 mins. Season with salt & sugar (i usually skip sugar) to taste, add cornstarch slurry, stir in eggs.
