WhatsApp could be giving its iPad app a much-needed navigation makeover.
According to WABetaInfo, the messaging platform is testing a Mac-like sidebar that would make it easier for iPad users to jump between different sections of the app. Currently, the navigation bar sits at the bottom of the iPad screen, which can feel somewhat awkward on a larger display.
The redesigned sidebar would provide quick access to Chats, Updates, Communities, Calls, and Meta AI. A separate More section would house additional features such as Locked, Archived, Starred, Status, and Favourites.
