Following her head-turning role in Climax earlier this year, K-pop idol turned actress Nana is back on screens this month in the hotly anticipated Netflix period drama The Scandal. A new adaptation of the famed French novel Les Liaisons Dangereuses, the series sees Nana share the screen alongside Son Ye-jin and Ji Chang-wook.
A native of Cheongju in central South Korea, Nana was born in 1991 and first came to national prominence in 2009, when she stepped onto the stage as a model and debuted in the girl group After School. She later featured in the subgroups Orange Caramel and A.S. Red.
Although After School effectively disbanded more than a decade ago, Nana returned to the music scene last year to launch her debut digital single, “Seventh Heaven 16”.
