Malaysian teen allegedly found with more than 1,200 Kpods at Tuas Checkpoint charged with trafficking, Singapore News


A 17-year-old was charged on Sept 4 for allegedly trafficking 1,264 etomidate vaporiser pods into Singapore via Tuas Checkpoint.

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) said on Thursday (Sept 10) that the teen was caught during an enhanced check by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers at Tuas Checkpoint on Sept 3. 

There, ICA search and examination officers uncovered 14 parcels of vaporiser pods in his motorcycle and alerted the authority.

HSA officers who took over the investigation found that the parcels contained 1,264 vaporiser pods, with subsequent laboratory testing confirming that they contained etomidate.

They were allegedly intended for supply.
