Pokemon Legends: Z-A players have found a way to shiny hunt multiple Alpha Pokemon at the same time in Wild Zone 20. Between Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s shiny duplication glitch and the early shiny hunting method in Wild Zone 3, the game is an incredibly popular one among fans of shiny critters due to how easily they can be found. The most popular shiny hunting methods are:

  • Bench-resetting (benches can be found on Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s interactive map)
  • Despawn running (running 70m away from the target and then 50m toward it)
  • Flying method (repeatedly flying to a location, resetting all Pokemon in a 50m radius)
  • Door method (this only works for shiny Pokemon in Legends: Z-A‘s Wild Zone 3)
  • Fossil reset (purchasing 10+ fossils and reviving them, then closing the game if no shiny appears)

Yet, the community is finding even more creative methods of shiny hunting, like the “ghost walk method,” which only works with a turbo controller in Wild Zone 20. Now, a new method has surfaced online that allows players to gather up to six Alpha Pokemon at the center of Wild Zone 20 and repeatedly reset them for shiny odds.

How to Shiny Hunt Up to 6 Alpha Pokemon At Once in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

The method was reportedly found by a Discord user called EagleBMW, and it was then explained in detail and given more attention by renowned content creator Austin John Plays on YouTube. Having Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Shiny Charm helps find these Alphas faster. The process has several steps:

  • Get aggro from both Alpha Pokemon at the base of the tower in Wild Zone 20, then lead them to the stream facing North.
  • Exit Wild Zone 20 and immediately save, then close and restart the game.
  • Walk back into Pokemon Legends: Z-A‘s Wild Zone 20, get aggro from the Alpha Pokemon near the stream, and then lead them toward the North gate. Then, exit the gate, save, and restart the game.
  • Walk away from the gate, about 60m (which can be easily figured out by putting a pin on the map where the gate is), then save and restart.
  • Run back to the gate, check if both Alphas are still there, then enter the area and go to the center without moving past 70m from the gate while holding aggro from the previous two Alphas. Under the tower should be two more Alpha Pokemon. Get aggro from them, and then lead both these two and the previous two to the stream facing North.
  • At this point, rinse and repeat the previous steps until all four Alpha Pokemon are at the gate, then get their aggro as well as that of the one or two more Pokemon that appear under the tower, and repeat the steps until all five or six Alphas are at the gate, then save.
  • Get knocked out by the Alpha Pokemon, then go back to Wild Zone 20 and check if all Alphas are under the tower. If so, shiny hunt as preferred with the typical methods.

After securing five or six Alpha Pokemon at the base of the tower in Wild Zone 20, players can then safely shiny hunt in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. However, it’s worth noting that the Alpha Pokemon gathered with this method will change until a shiny appears, which will lock both the species and the shiny in place even if players keep resetting the others.
