Star Trek celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, and there have been plenty of celebrations. There’s also been plenty of discussion about which Star Trek series is the best in the franchise. Some would argue for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, while others still stick with Star Trek: The Original Series. However, the best Star Trek series remains Star Trek: The Next Generation, thanks to its star-studded cast that includes Patrick Stewart as Jean-Luc Picard, and the ways it pushed the franchise forward. Now, Star Trek fans can enjoy The Next Generation in a whole new way.
Beginning October 20, the Fluxx card game will release decks themed to different Star Trek seasons, including Star Trek: The Next Generation. It’s a celebration in more ways than one. While the release is obviously timed to Star Trek’s 60th anniversary, it also marks the re-release of the Next Generation deck, which has been out of print for years. Whether Star Trek fans have played Fluxx before or this is their first introduction to the series, it’s the perfect way to celebrate Trek.
