Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena game based on the Dragon Ball franchise, but that’s about to change after its first year anniversary celebrations. While the game will remain free-to-play, it will shift from a MOBA to a third-person fighting game. Significant gameplay changes will be made to Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra over the next few months, as the overhaul begins alongside its transition into another game genre.
According to the developer letter, the skill gap between players was too wide, which led to beginners having poor experience with Gekishin Squadra and ultimately quitting. The objective of this overhaul is to keep the game fun for veterans but also accessible for beginners. To do this, the devs are changing the camera perspective, gameplay rules, and role system.
