The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting a full remaster this September

CD Projekt Red has announced The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered during Gamescom Opening Night Live, with the game arriving surprisingly soon on 29 September for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. A native Nintendo Switch 2 version is also coming on the same day, while PC gamers will, for the first time, be able to get it through Blizzard’s Battle.net platform.

And yes, you may remember that The Witcher 3 already received a pretty huge next-gen update back in 2022. That added quality-of-life features including ray tracing, faster loading, new camera options, and even a photo mode. The new remaster goes quite a bit further, however. The Polish studio is promising upgraded visuals and performance, but the more interesting changes are to the game itself: combat is being enhanced, movement and traversal improved, Roach’s handling is getting a revamp and monster behaviour will be adjusted. The game’s skill tree is being reworked too and transmogrification is finally being added.
