Gamescom Opening Night Live has been dropping trailers for all manner of games, and if you’re a fan of historical turn-based strategy games, then you can check out the first look at Humankind 2. Just like the first game, Humankind 2 tasks you with starting a civilization and guiding it through various eras by using diplomacy, military might, and new technologies to stay a step ahead of your rivals. Developer Amplitude Studios says that players can expect the core 4X experience to offer new ways to rewrite history.
According to the developer, Humankind 2 has incorporated feedback from 2021’s Humankind to introduce new progression systems, features, enhanced visuals, a modernized user interface, and several other gameplay improvements. Cultural evolution is designed to be deeper, and in each new Era players reach, they can adopt a culture that expands and deepens their civilization’s identity. This will, in turn, unlock exclusive customs through expanded cultural progression trees, creating distinct nations throughout the ages.
