Security officer allegedly punched by driver while on duty, police report lodged, Singapore News


A police report has been lodged after a security officer on traffic duty was allegedly struck by a vehicle and later assaulted by the driver.

The incident occurred on Aug 13, according to a Facebook post by the Union of Security Employees (USE), an affiliate of the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC).

The security officer involved, Muhd Faiz Bin Mohd of Peregrine Security, had been carrying out his traffic control duties in the northern part of Singapore at the time. 

While directing traffic, Faiz was allegedly struck by a vehicle’s side mirror after a motorist failed to comply with his instructions.

The driver subsequently exited the vehicle and allegedly punched Faiz in the face, causing injuries to his cheek and jaw, said USE.
