SINGAPORE: Former Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Faishal Ibrahim is in discussions to return to academia with the National University of Singapore (NUS).
In response to CNA’s queries, NUS said on Monday (Aug 24) that the university and Associate Professor Faishal are discussing the arrangements for his return to academia.
Assoc Prof Faishal, who was also the Senior Minister of State for Home Affairs, resigned from politics in July after his interactions with a woman “fell short” of the standards required of a political office holder and Member of Parliament, said Prime Minister Lawrence Wong then.
