adidas becomes new kit sponsor of Singapore national football team in multi-year FAS partnership

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) and adidas have announced a new multi-year partnership that will see the German sportswear brand become the kit sponsor of Singapore’s national football team, while extending its involvement into the Singapore Premier League, youth development and broader fan engagement.

The partnership begins with the launch of new Home and Away kits for the 2026 season. Both were developed over several months between FAS and adidas, with the aim of balancing modern performance requirements with references to Singapore football’s past.

The Home jersey keeps the familiar all-red identity, but adds navy blue and white detailing around the collar and sleeves. Woven into the fabric is a wave motif intended to reflect Singapore’s character; calm on the surface, but driven by energy beneath.

It is a subtle design device rather than an obvious graphic, and one that gives the shirt more texture without straying too far from tradition.

The Away jersey takes the more nostalgic route. Coventry Blue returns as the main colour, drawing inspiration from Singapore’s celebrated 1977 kit. It is a deliberate nod to an earlier generation of Lions, and one that makes the new partnership feel connected to local football history rather than simply wrapped in new branding.

That heritage is also reflected in the launch visuals. The campaign features current national players alongside former Singapore internationals, including Fandi Ahmad, Aleksandar Duric, Shahril Ishak, Nazri Nasir and Daniel Bennett.

Badri Ghent, General Secretary of the Football Association of Singapore, said the national jersey represents more than what players wear on the pitch.

“It is a symbol of pride for everyone who supports Singapore football,” he said. “Our partnership with adidas marks an exciting new era as we continue to build a stronger future for Singapore football. Together, we hope this new kit will inspire our players, unite our fans, and strengthen the bond between our National Teams and Singaporeans.”

Performance has not been overlooked either. Both jerseys use adidas CLIMACOOL+ technology, which is designed to help regulate heat and improve comfort during play. The kits also feature lenticular crests, while the Away jersey carries the adidas Trefoil, a detail the brand says is reserved for top-tier federations including Germany, Argentina and Japan.
