One person was taken to hospital after an electric mahjong table caught fire in a Tampines HDB flat on Saturday (Aug 8) night.
The incident happened at about 9.30pm at Block 449 Tampines Street 42.
A livestream posted by TikTok user M.K Collector shows black soot on the external facade wall outside the bedroom and toilet of a ninth-floor unit.Ā
Some residents are seen waiting at the void deck of the block, while Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) paramedics attended to a person seated within a police cordon.
