Police said the incident took place during a stray dog capture operation conducted by the Royal City Council of Klang (MBDK). MBDK “[expressed] its regret over the incident”, saying it’d launched the operation after residents reported safety concerns regarding stray dogs in the area, following an incident that nearly killed a child. “We genuinely don’t understand why this happened or why they decided to kill him,” the heartbroken dog owner wrote in an Instagram post.
