Apple smart glasses tipped for WWDC 2027 unveil



Apple’s long-rumoured smart glasses could finally make their public debut at WWDC 2027.

Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claims that Apple is targeting WWDC 2027 as the occasion to unveil the smart glasses, with retail availability expected later in the year. Interestingly, the Vision Pro was also first unveiled at WWDC – in 2023, to be exact. Introducing the device at WWDC would also give developers several months to build apps and optimise experiences before it reaches consumers.

One of Apple’s biggest points of differentiation is expected to be user privacy. Gurman reports that the company is testing “a slew of new hardware and software-related privacy features” that are absent from many of today’s smart glasses.
