SINGAPORE – There have been 17 reported cases of abuse against officers from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) so far in 2026, as it reminded the public that such actions could hinder front-liners from carrying out their duties.
These form part of the around 120 cases of abuse SCDF front-liners have seen over the past three years.
On one occasion, a person had hurled vulgarities and made lewd remarks at the paramedic while she was providing medical assistance, said SCDF in a Facebook post on June 26.
Despite repeated attempts to calm the person down, verbal aggression persisted, it added.
