We hit up Tara Na! (@Tara Na! ), which specialises in Halal Filipino food, based on your recommendations! They started off as a HBB selling their signature Chicken Inasal, & I’m so glad they’ve expanded to a physical storefront! Here’s everything we had – šŸ“ Tara Na! – 50 Punggol East, -K35, Singapore 828824 Tuna Kinilaw – A vinegar & calamansi cured raw tuna ā€œsaladā€. Akin to ceviche but is definitely its own thing, has a very bright and citrusy flavour profile. The subtle heat added some dimension, I thought this was a perfect starter to open up our palates! Pancit Palabok – Thin noodles drenched in a savoury shrimp & milkfish gravy. Full of that salty seafood flavour, I don’t think this would be everyone’s favourite but def give it a try if you’re craving for something shrimpy! Chicken Inasal – Marinated char grilled chicken, there’s a slight tangy and sweet note from the marinade. It did taste lighter than I expected, but the chilli oil helped round it up! Halo Halo – A mountain of shaved iced topped with ube ice cream and flan, buried over a treasure trove of jellies, red beans, ube, jackfruit. Creamy milky sweet and refreshing, I loved this! Overall, I think they do a great job at showcasing a good range of Filipino dishes while adapting them to suit our local tastebuds. Plus point, they were so sweet and accommodating not to just us but all the other patrons, so I can def see myself coming back more often! šŸ˜„ #fypsg #sgfoodreview #sgfoodie #munchingwithmatin #halalsg
