Audio-Technica Hotaru: The levitating turntable

Audio-Technica has launched the Hotaru, a premium all-in-one record player that combines a turntable, amplifier and speakers into a single system. But unlike most record players, the Hotaru’s platter appears to float in mid-air.

Named after the Japanese word for firefly, the Hotaru uses a magnetic repulsion system to suspend its turntable platter above the main chassis.
