Death Stranding Movie Is A “Two-Hour Art Movie,” Kojima Says, Admitting It Might Not Work

Hideo Kojima has shared new insight into the Death Stranding movie, while director Michael Sarnoski has revealed a key detail about it as well.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Kojima said he wanted to “try a different path” with the adaptation of Death Stranding for film. That path, he said, is to make a “two-hour art movie” as opposed to re-telling the story of the games.

Kojima admitted this plan might not work.

“I don’t know if this will be successful, but that’s the goal,” he said.
