POV: One of my favourite Shanghai eats has finally arrived in Singapore. I’ve had 小杨生煎 countless times during my trips to China, and it’s always one of those places I find myself going back to. So naturally, I was excited to see them open their first outlet in Singapore. The signature 生煎包 still delivers that crispy bottom, juicy pork filling, and burst of savoury soup that made the brand famous. I also ordered their 葱油面, which was simple, comforting, and a great accompaniment to the buns. That said, there were some teething issues with operations during my visit, which is understandable given that they’ve just opened. Personally, I also felt that the version I had in China tasted slightly better, though that could simply be nostalgia talking after all those trips. It’s still great to finally have a taste of Shanghai much closer to home, and I’m keen to revisit once they’ve had more time to settle in. Have you tried it yet? What do you think compared to the outlets in China? 📍Bugis Junction #FYP #Sgfoodie #Sgcafehopping #Cafehopping #Dumplings
